1. What we collect

  • Caller phone numbers — when someone calls a Calla-protected business and the call isn't answered, we process that caller's phone number in order to send them a text-back message.
  • Client business details — if you sign up to use Calla, we hold your business name, contact details, and phone number for billing and support purposes.
  • We do not currently use cookies or website tracking on this site. If that changes, this policy will be updated and you'll be asked for consent where required.

2. Why we collect it

Caller phone numbers are processed only to deliver the service itself — sending an automatic text-back is the direct purpose a caller's number is used for, and it's necessary to provide the service our clients pay for. Client business details are used to set up, bill, and support your account.

3. How your data is used

Caller phone numbers are used solely to send the automated text-back message and to log that lead for the business the call was made to. We do not use caller numbers for our own marketing, and we do not sell caller or client data to third parties.

4. Who we share it with

To operate the service, caller and message data passes through a small number of technical providers acting on our behalf: a messaging provider to send texts and handle calls, an AI provider to help draft message content, and a hosting provider to run the service. These providers only process data as needed to deliver the service — they don't use it for their own purposes.

5. How long we keep it

We keep caller and lead data for as long as needed to provide the service to our clients, and client account details for as long as the account is active plus a reasonable period for billing records. You can ask us to delete data that relates to you at any time.

6. Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to ask what data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, and to request deletion. If you're not satisfied with how we've handled a request, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

7. Contact

Questions about this policy, or requests relating to your data, can be sent to callaclients@gmail.com.

This is a plain-English starting point written for a new, small service business, not a substitute for professional legal advice. Worth having this properly reviewed once the business is processing data at volume.
